Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran is known as one of the key nodes of this plan due to its strategic location in the North-South and East-West transportation corridors, as well as its rich energy resources. The purpose of this research is to examine the opportunities and challenges of the " Belt and Road" initiative for Iran's political economy. The results indicate that this initiative can strengthen Iran's geopolitical position in the region, while developing key Iranian infrastructure, including transportation and energy, attracting foreign direct investment, and strengthening economic relations with countries along the path of the plan. But on the other hand, greater economic and political dependence on China, increased imports of Chinese goods, lack of transparency in investments, and problems resulting from international sanctions are among the challenges that Iran will face in dealing with this plan. چکیده: <br>ابتکار « کمربند،راه»، که در سال 2013 به‌عنوان یکی از بزرگ‌ترین پروژه‌های اقتصادی طراحی و اجرا شد، با هدف تقویت جایگاه چین به‌عنوان یک قدرت جهانی در حوزه‌های اقتصادی، تجاری و سیاسی مطرح گردید. در این میان، جمهوری اسلامی ایران به‌دلیل موقعیت استراتژیک خود در کریدورهای حمل‌ونقل شمال به جنوب و شرق به غرب و همچنین منابع غنی انرژی، به‌عنوان یکی از گره‌های کلیدی این طرح شناخته شده است. هدف از این پژوهش، بررسی فرصت‌ها و چالش‌های ابتکار « کمربند،راه» برای اقتصاد سیاسی ایران می‌باشد. نتایج، حاکی از آن است که این ابتکار می‌تواند ضمن توسعه زیرساخت‌های کلیدی ایران، از جمله حمل‌ونقل و انرژی، جذب سرمایه‌گذاری مستقیم خارجی و تقویت روابط اقتصادی با کشورهای در مسیر طرح، جایگاه ژئوپلیتیکی ایران را در منطقه نیز تقویت کند. اما از سوی دیگر، وابستگی اقتصادی و سیاسی بیشتر به چین، افزایش واردات کالاهای چینی و عدم شفافیت در سرمایه‌گذاری‌ها و مشکلات ناشی از تحریم‌های بین‌المللی، از جمله چالش‌هایی است که ایران در مواجهه با این طرح با آن‌ها روبرو خواهد بود. https://ca.ipisjournals.ir/article_733329_5a5af1da9b87418c61936ecdb80ca100.pdf
