Abstract

The International System is highly interconnected in the era of interdependence. Its constituent elements are interlinked with each other inseparably and every change in its elements would be reflected in other elements as soon as possible. The crisis of Georgia in August 2008, in addition to its regional impacts, has become a global phenomenon and the scene for supra-regional powers because of the geopolitical importance of the Caucasus.  Thus it led to the confrontation of Russia and Western countries.  This Article studies the most important consequences and outcomes of this crisis on International System.
