Abstract

Various factors and variables, in internal and international levels have been effective on the emergence of the crisis in Karabakh, which happened between Armenia and Azerbaijan. One of the determinant factors in this issue has been the interventions and strains of international factors. It will be difficult understanding the real nature of Karabakh crisis without knowing these international factors. The international factors that are relevant to Karabakh crisis are divided into two categories; One of them is the rivalry between regional and trans-regional actors and also political and security issues; and the other one is the coherence of global energy economy, international organizations and globalization.
This article tries to scrutinize how international factors can effect on the continuation of Karabakh crisis. In other words, the authors try to find a respond to this question that "What has been the impact of international factors on the crisis in Karabakh?" The hypothesis of the article is that irrespective of some intent to settle ceasefire, international factors have prolonged the crisis.
